Following decades of charitable support by the family dating back to 1947, the Richardson Brothers Foundation was established in 2006. Twenty years on, it continues to give financial support to charities, communities and organisations that are focused on education and learning, as well as those associated with the Armed Forces.

Education; the family are keen to support education and learning projects that help
individuals and groups develop knowledge, confidence and skills, helping future generations for the wider public benefit.  Recent funding has supported work placements for people with additional needs, university scholarships and cultural enrichment programmes.

Armed Forces; the family are passionate, long-term supporters of the UK’s Armed Forces, taking pride in the fact that seven family members have served their country in recent years.  Through the Foundation they have given financial contributions to a range of military fundraising appeals including the Army Benevolent Fund and Help for Heroes, as well as countless cadet units across the West Midlands region.

Local good causes; the family has a heartfelt connection to the Black Country and surrounding areas.  Their Foundation prioritises supporting initiatives in this region, as well as in areas where they have active business interests. Recent organisations to benefit from the Foundation include Westminster School in Sandwell and a conservation and education programme at Dudley Zoo & Castle.

Please note:

  • The Foundation does not welcome unsolicited applications.
