As part of the development of the new Spectrum Logistics Park in Kings Norton, Birmingham, demolition experts DSM Limited recently took down the ten-storey Triplex House using their specialist equipment. Our time-lapse cameras were there to capture the process.
The Spectrum Logistics Park is a joint venture between St Francis Group and Richardson. When complete in late 2023 it will comprise 8 logistics distribution warehouse units totalling over 400,000 ft sq, designed to BREEAM Excellent standard and creating 100s of welcome jobs in the area. The development has been forward sold to Tristan Capital Partners LLP on completion.
Triplex House was built in 1966 by James A Roberts, the architect behind Birmingham's famous Rotunda building. The ten-storey tower sat atop a two-storey podium, and was used by Triplex as office space for the company's administrative functions.
