Honorary Colonel & Commanding Officer 4 MERCIAN visit to 1 MERCIAN Battlegroup in Estonia

At the end of July, the Honorary Colonel, Carl Richardson, and Commanding Officer of 4 MERCIAN, Lt Col Charlie Whitting, paid a visit to the 1 MERCIAN Battlegroup in Estonia.

They took the opportunity to speak with soldiers, gain an understanding of the deployment, the training plans, and the lived experience of the 4 MERCIAN soldiers who deployed as part of the Battlegroup.

Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, as well as elements of the 4th Battalion, deployed earlier in the year to Estonia to bolster NATO's eastern flank as part of Operation CABRIT.
