Mayoral charities in the Black Country have been given a boost with a generous donation from the Richardson Brothers Foundation.

Dr Roy Richardson, Life-President of the Richardson business, welcomed the Mayors of Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton into the Oldbury office. He gave each Mayor a cheque for their charity, as well as a large toy to auction to help with their fundraising.
The Foundation, which was established in 2006, supports a range of local and regional charities and individuals. This year’s Black Country Mayors are championing a number of worthy causes, including The British Polio Fellowship, Acorns Children’s Hospice, The Stroke Association and SSAFA – the Armed Forces Charity.
A spokesperson for the Richardson Brothers Foundation said:
“We were honoured to welcome three of our Black Country Mayors into our Oldbury office where they met Roy and told us more about their chosen charities. During their civic year they will be helping to shine a spotlight on some very worthwhile causes and we’re so pleased to be able to support them with their fundraising efforts.”
