Erdgard secures consent for 93,000sq ft Walsall logistics scheme.

Erdgard Developments have secured detailed planning consent for 93,000 sq ft at its Central Point development at Willenhall Road, Walsall, Green Street News can reveal.

Six-unit facility due to be ready for occupation in February 2027

The scheme will provide a total of 93,110 sq ft in six units ranging from 5,880 sq ft to 26,236 sq ft, to be built to BREEAM Very Good and EPC A standards. Site clearance works are under way, to allow MCS Group to start construction in May on a speculative basis, with occupation beginning in February 2027.

Gareth Williams, director at Erdgard, said

"There is a lack of good-quality new stock in the Walsall area and in the Black Country generally, so Central Point will deliver much needed grade A space. This latest acquisition marks the continuation of a partnership between the Directors of Erdgard and the Richardson family business and builds on an exceptional track record in the industrial and logistics sector.

Last month Erdgard, in partnership with the Richardson family business, submitted a planning application for a new £51m GOV industrial and logistics scheme in Brackmills, Northampton. The new scheme, called Platform, will create three units ranging from 46,400 sq ft to 76,500 sq ft on a 11.5 acre site.
